- Administrators have little control over what activities are being performed and over what type of connection
Connection Manager is an application that runs on client devices. It consists of two main components that are customized to meet your specific needs. There is a streamlined status window that allows users to view and manage multiple types of connections. There is also a sophisticated rules engine that enables administrators to automate processes and activities based on specific rules and criteria, such time of day or connection type.
Just because workers carry mobile computers, it doesn't mean they are technically savvy. In fact, many of them only know - or want to know - how to use the one or two applications that are critical to their jobs. So how do organizations supply these types of workers with information and applications they need in a consolidated, simple to use interface? They give them a Workbench.
Workbench is a centrally maintained, HTML-based "desktop" that provides a simple and easy to navigate interface for users. From a Workbench, users can launch applications, view announcements published by corporate, and access reports and documents.
Because it is HTML-based, it is extremely lightweight and therefore easy to distribute and update on mobile devices. And, unlike a web page, it is accessible and fully functional at all times, whether users are on- or offline.
